Children's News:

Fall Quarter has begun at our local elementary school and I thought it was a great time to update you on what we have in store this quarter for our Children. First off we are changing the name of our Wednesday night meeting from K.I.C.K. (Kids in Christ's Kingdom) to Grace Kids. The old acronym treated us well but its time that we share ourselves with the community in such a way that the community knows we are part of the larger Grace UMC family. Speaking of Wednesday nights meetings our first Wednesday will be October 3^rd. We hope to see you there as we have fun serving your kids and sharing with them the greatest news ever told, God is with us.

Events: We have two major events to be looking forward to on top of the start of our Wednesday night group. First off we will be participating with tweens (4^th -6^th graders) from other local United Methodist Churches in the Ohio River Valley District for the Big Top Event. The event will feature games food a speaker as well as music from a local praise band. We are so excited to be joining with others from within our denomination to express the joy of being God's kids.

The second event will be a service project called trunk or treat. Trunk or Treat is an annual event hosted by the Local United Methodist Churches of Hamilton on the downtown courthouse steps. We are inviting many local health agencies as well as service organizations to participate help our community members on the margins with such things as general hygiene products. Our Children's ministry will be there making popcorn and using its delicious smell to entice over new friends from the community. Along with sharing our popcorn we hope to share with them our fellowship and the Love of Christ that brims to the top of all Grace members from the first second you meet them.
